Innocence- Anthropocene Talisman No. 2

This is a work from a new series called Tales from the Anthropocene. The word Anthropocene describes the first human caused permanent geologic layer. With a hint of magic realism this series will explore how we humans are impacting the earth. What stories will our archeological footprints tell?

This is Anthropocene Talisman No. 2, "Innocence". It's made with a vintage brass escutcheon, found objects which include a vintage rhinestone brooch and a bullet casing. There is a reproduction antique photograph of a young girl in the center. Around the top are carved wood and lamp worked glass leaves. There is a hook on the back to hang it.
